WagerWeb Sportsbook Review - WagerWeb.com Sports Betting Site

WagerWeb Review

Wagerweb.com may not be the most familiar name in the gaming industry, but this company isn’t a newbie. It’s been in business for a good 15+ years now, focusing mainly on the sports betting side of the business and catering to the US market.
They may not be as flashy as other brands, but they offer a competitive bonus scheme of up to 100% on deposits as well as reloads. Plus, they are one of the very few outfits to offer weekly payouts to their players.  Aside from the standard bonuses, they offer CashBack rewards on all products, which is part of the Loyalty Program.
From a betting angle, players will find the same standard / specialty bets offered by most other companies and the focus usually remains on major sports (USA)…although you will find the occasional entertainment prop. All in all, it’s a good contender in the online gaming industry.

1. Who Bets Here

WagerWeb caters to the masses, so they do take bets over the phone as well as online. However, the average player here prefers to place small wagers online. For those players that like to go large, WagerWeb will take action on a case by case basis. For the most part, this is a book for the casual player. It’s an easy experience that won’t hurt your head.

2. Customer Service

As a mid-sized company, WagerWeb seems to still value the importance of personalized customer support. Clients will find that the quickest and easiest way to a resolution will be over the phone. However, for those customers that prefer to handle their requests online, they do offer support via live chat and email. The chat feature can run slowly, so beware, but overall it isn’t too bad and besides, you can’t even get a hold of some companies.

They also claim to have free withdrawals, but that isn’t the case. Wagerweb will charge you for the withdrawals and give you money back, but it comes in the form of free-play money, not actual cash and that can put some players off. But again, it’s better than what a lot of other shops will offer.

3. Placing A Bet.

You’ll find the good old-fashion checkbox system employed by virtually every other sportsbook on the planet, and that’s not a bad thing. If you’re going to be like everyone else in this industry, this is the way to go as WagerWeb has realized that players don’t want to jump through hoops to make their bets.

4. Variety

WagerWeb doesn’t specialize in variety, they stick to the theory of not reinventing the wheel when it comes to betting options, but they have managed to improve this aspect of their services. Players will find the standard betting types, as well as most of the specialty bets offered at other shops.

But players will also find a surprising amount of exotics and entertainment props at WagerWeb, which draws in even more casual bettors, and they also offer pools occasionally. WagerWeb is above average when it comes to variety for betting lines.

5. VIP Program/Loyalty Program

WagerWeb does offer players a Rewards Program, which is point-based like most other loyalty plans. Players can earn points for all bets / plays made in the Sportsbook, Racebook and Casino.

The program is split into four progressive levels, starting at Silver and ending at Platinum Plus. Player prizes range from free-play bonuses up to 50%, free payouts to CashBack Rewards or casino – you acquire gold chips, which can be used towards a number of things such as electronics (Ipods, flat screen plasma TV's, etc.), DVD’s, books, poker goods and more. You can even gets iPods and expensive electronics. It definitely isn’t your ordinary loyalty program.

6. Bonus & Rebate Program

WagerWeb offers a generous bonus package, which caters to the smaller players too. As is pretty standard, these are offered as free plays with rollover requirements.

If you deposit between $25 – $250, you get up to a 50% free play bonus with a 10-time rollover in the sportsbook.

If you deposit between $251 – $499, you get up to a 70% free play bonus with a 12-time rollover in the sportsbook.

If you deposit between $500 – $1000, you get up to 100% free play bonus with a 15-time rollover in the sportsbook.

7. Website & Usability

When visiting WagerWeb.com, you’ll notice it’s a pretty easy site to get around, nothing too flashy or complex going on here. The betting lines are easily accessed from the homepage, and all the other products are a click away. They’re more modern than many sites, but the graphics won’t remind you of anything special.

The Lounge area is arguably the best part of their site as you’ll find a number of articles from professional Vegas handicappers giving you tips on how to win more money. There aren’t many websites that try to help you out in this respect, but WagerWeb does its best to give you an edge.

8. Reputation

WagerWeb.com hasn’t really made a huge impact in the online gaming industry, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have a good reputation. They do provide a well-rounded service and specialize in quick payouts. It’s a great place to bet if you’re a recreational player, and even sharps can find some relaxing entertainment here. There’s a good chance you’ll be hearing and seeing more of this company in the next few years.
