Sportsbetting.com Review

Sports Betting Review

Meet Sportsbetting.com, a sportsbook that is smack-dab in the middle of the pack.

On one hand, they do have some features that make it worth a visit, such as their vast array of prop bets. On the other hand, they have some annoying features, like the amount of documents you have to send when you request a withdrawal.

Dragging them down is a number of customer complaints stemming from account closures, fund confiscations and delayed payments. Sportsbetting.com falls under the same umbrella as Sportsbook.com (Jazette), which would make sense about the shaky payouts.

They have a good website and a very good initial bonus, but keep in mind that those are things to get you in the door. You might struggle getting out.

1. Who Bets Here

Sportsbetting.com is a public watering hole. They aren’t ones to get their lines up early and when they do, they are very soft. There isn’t much to attract the sharks to this place.

Depositing

  • Credit Card
  • Western Union (fees covered)
  • Moneygram (fees covered)

Withdrawing

  • Bank Wire (two free withdrawals a calendar month)
  • Courier Cheque (one free withdrawal a calendar month)

2. Customer Service

Sportsbetting.com has below par customer service.

Although placing bets over the phone is a dying breed, for those who still do they should know that they might have to prepare themselves for some short wait times over the phones for betting. It’s not often, but our tests surprisingly showed that more than once –varying times of business – that there were wait times of one or two minutes.

Beyond that, their customer service is fine until you have a problem.

Players have complained of bounced cheques, delayed payout times and on rare occasion, accounts confiscation.

3. Placing A Bet

Sportsbetting.com’s sportsbook software looks eerily similar to Sportsbook.com’s setup. As a matter of fact, it’s pretty much the same betting engine with a different color scheme.

Once you login, you’ll find your vitals on the left-hand side (name, account, balance and pending wagers), the lines in the center of the page and the betting ticket on the right.

When you search through the lines, the display in the center of the page will change why the ticket and vitals stay the same. That’s a nice touch since it means less page changes overall.

When you make your picks, your betting ticket on the right will update and then you confirm to lock it in.

Methods of Betting

  • Internet
  • Phone

4. Variety

Sportsbetting.com has a good variety, but it’s worth clarifying what type.

In the past, a great variety meant that you had more props than everyone else. Nowadays, a great variety is live betting, exotics and mobile betting.

Sportsbetting.com has a good old school variety.

They have all of the major sports covered but where they do exceed expectations is props. For example, in the NFL, they’ll have prospective lines for all 17 weeks of the season before the first week has even kicked off.

They have specials for pretty much every sport and along with that, a decent amount of entertainment and wacky exotics.

Limits

  • NFL Games: $5,500
  • NBA Games: $3,300
  • NHL Games: $2,200
  • MLB Games: $5,000

5. VIP Program/Loyalty Program

The Sportsbetting.com sportsbook does not offer a VIP program at this time.

6. Bonus & Rebate Program

While it’s hard to give checkmarks to Sportsbetting.com for their customer service, their bonus program does deserve some props.

When you deposit initially you get a 25% cash bonus, which is very good. The rollover requirement is only three times, which is quite fair.

On subsequent reloads, if you do them on a Thursday, you get 5% on your money. That’s not as sexy, especially if your account gets wiped on a bad beat during a college Saturday and you still want to bet on a Sunday.

7. Website & Usability

At a first glance, you would think that Sportsbetting.com is a fairly vanilla website but there is more than meets the eye.

Let’s start with the important stuff. As far as logging in and sports betting, the site is a bit sluggish. As mentioned, there aren’t many page changes once you are logged in, but jumping from page to page is a little slow for a site that doesn’t have a ton of flash or graphics.

Aside from that, the site does offer quite a bit.

They are socially inclined, which means you can follow them on Twitter, which gives you some generic sports updates and some Twitter-only bonuses. It’s a good idea and hopefully in the future, a good way to communicate to the book directly.

Sportsbetting.com also has a blog that can be reached from their front page, which provides some sports news and analysis, along with some sportsbook news.

They do have an archive of sports betting articles at the bottom of the page under “sports betting guides” but those are not updated as frequently.

Beyond that, the site offers a couple of other cool tools like their five hottest games that are bet on and also a link to stats matchups for the major sports (provided by Statfox).

On the whole, there is quite a bit resources for you on this site, which does improve the overall experience.

8. Reputation

The Sportsbetting.com reputation is not great. They’ve had several players publicly speak about their long payout delays and they’ve had some battles with watchdogs about unfairly closing accounts.

In reference to long payout delays, that’s not a good sign. We all know that after you’ve done the work to get the winnings, we don’t want anything making us even more nervous after we request our money, so that’s not a good sign.

They fall under the Jazette family of sportsbooks and that company has many references on their resumes of the above problems.
